Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 24, 2026
BakeIQ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website www.bakeiq.ai and the BakeIQ application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and the name of your bakery or business. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles payment details—we never store full credit card numbers.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps. This helps us improve the product and troubleshoot issues.
Bakery Data
Recipes, ingredients, production plans, orders, and other business data you enter belong to you. We access this data only to operate and improve the Service, and we never sell it to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To process transactions and manage your subscription.
- To communicate with you—account notices, support responses, and product updates.
- To improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or technical issues.
3. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and row-level security (RLS) so that each organization can only access its own data. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days in case you reactivate. After that, data is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by emailing support@bakeiq.ai.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Neon — database hosting
- Vercel — website hosting
- Railway — API hosting
Each provider has its own privacy policy and is contractually obligated to protect your data.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies (such as authentication tokens) to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies, if used, are anonymized.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@bakeiq.ai. If you are located in the EU, UK, or Canada, you also have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or PIPEDA respectively.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
